Hurricane Igor is currently forecast to be nearly a direct hit on Bermuda late Sunday evening. The wind direction and speed will be dependent on subtle track changes that are likely over the next few days. Heavy rain and thunder are likely as Igor passes. by weather.bm Bastardi Says: Hurricane Igor May Isolate Bermuda for Days, However, while Igor moved swiftly through Bermuda, Igor may travel much more slowly. As a result, AccuWeather.com Hurricane Expert Joe Bastardi is concerned the islands may be in for a "several-day siege of damaging winds and waves." Hurricane Igor could be another Hurricane Fabian in the making for Bermuda, given the forecast track and strength of the system looming in the Atlantic.
